Ben Affleck says filming Justice League was “awful”, and that it was “the worst experience”. The actor recalled how he was also in the middle of a divorce with his ex-wife Jennifer Carner and coupled with the death of Zack Snyder’s daughter, which saw Joss Whedon taking over the project – the entire experience was just not enjoyable for him.

Ben Affleck says filming Justice Leage was the worst.

Speaking to LA Times in an interview, Ben Affleck reflected on his experience filming Justice League, calling the entire experience “awful” and “the worst”. Many things were happening behind the scenes with his personal life as well as issues with filming, coupled with director Zack Snyder’s family tragedy that saw him lose his daughter.

It was really “Justice League” that was the nadir for me.

That was a bad experience because of a confluence of things: my own life, my divorce, being away too much, the competing agendas and then [director] Zack Snyder’s personal tragedy [Snyder’s daughter Autumn took her own life in 2017] and the reshooting.

It just was the worst experience. It was awful. It was everything that I didn’t like about this.

That became the moment where I said, “I’m not doing this anymore.” It’s not even about, like, “Justice League” was so bad. Because it could have been anything.

However, with all that being said, Ben Affleck’s portrayal of Batman was met with positive fan reception following the release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice – Many fans were understandably excited to see a superhero ensemble movie from DC to rival that of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the movie was hit with multiple obstacles and setbacks that led to the resulting finished product receiving mixed reviews.

The subsequent release of the Snyder Cut (Zack Snyder’s Justice League) saw an upturn in reviews though, although one wonders what the movie would have been like had the team stayed intact throughout production without any hiccups.
