Dwayne Johnson was ecstatic to dedicate his People’s Choice Award for Comedy Movie Star of 2021 to Emily Blunt.
The actor released two big projects this year, Jungle Cruise and Red Notice, so it’s no surprise that he’ll be competing against Black Adam co-star Gal Gadot, who has also been killing it with Amazon Prime’s historic hit movie Wonder Woman 1984 as well as in her upcoming Netflix original feature The Romanoffs.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is an A-list actor famous for his incredible physique and hulking presence on set. The former WWE champion turned movie star has proved himself a hit with box office audiences everywhere, but he has also obtained critical acclaim from the film community, being recognized as one of the industry’s most exciting directors. Beginning his career as a competitor on WWF with the nickname of “The People’s Champion,” Johnson gradually pursued acting full time in 2002 when his popularity had risen greatly, leading to a string of successes which included fronting spin-offs from popular franchises such as Fast & Furious and G.I. Joe.
