Dwayne Johnson says Black Adam will fight Superman, regardless of which actor is playing his character, and the power balance of the DC Universe will be shifted with the arrival of the villain.
Dwayne Johnson says Black Adam will eventually fight Superman
Speaking to Total Film, Dwayne Johnson said that he is confident that Black Adam will eventually fight Superman, but added that he is unsure by the time the two characters eventually face off with each other, who will be portraying the two arch-nemeses.
The Black Adam actor did mention previously that he wants to see Black Adam take on Henry Cavill‘s Superman, with the latter saying that he is open to putting on the red cape again for a Superman sequel. But DC and Warner Bro. have yet to reveal any plans ahead for the actor and his Kryptonian character.
Also, with the DC Multiverse also set to be introduced into the DCEU via the upcoming The Flash movie, there are many possibilities as to which version of Superman will eventually fight Black Adam in future movies.
Dwayne Johnson was first cast as Black Adam back in 2007 and after 15 years, he is finally set to make his debut on the big screen in 2022. The upcoming Black Adam movie will see Johnson’s character face off against The Justice Society of America, which includes Cyclone, Hawkman, Atom Smasher and Dr. Fate.
Black Adam will be released at all theaters on July 29, 2022.
