George Clooney could return as Batman in the upcoming The Flash movie, according to actor Ben Affleck – although Affleck did mention that Clooney returning to don the cowl was an unlikely possibility.
George Clooney could return as Batman
Speaking to Jimmy Kimmel on his talk show, Jimmy Kimmel Live; actor Ben Affleck spoke about how he doesn’t believe George Clooney is in the movie but claims that Clooney might secretly be in The Flash if he is heavily guarded.
Affleck cited the example of Michael Keaton (who is going to be in The Flash), saying that he never saw the latter while filming his scenes.
George Clooney has most notably said that he was not asked to return for the upcoming The Flash movie, but it is worth noting that both the MCU and DCEU are infamously secretive about character revelations as well as plot details (ie. Spider-Man).
Although George Clooney is unlikely to be featured in The Flash, another former Batman actor will be – Michael Keaton first played The Dark Knight in Tim Burton’s Batman in 1989 and he will be playing an older Bruce Wayne/Batman from an alternate universe in the movie.
The general plot synopsis of The Flash sees Ezra Miller‘s Barry Allen aka The Flash traveling back in time to prevent the murder of his mother and as a result, bring about unintended consequences to his timeline.
The Flash is expected to be released in the United States on November 4, 2022.
