Halle Berry calls out haters of her Catwoman movie in an interview that she did with Vogue, as she talked about how she enjoyed making the film, and people still come up to her now telling her that they love the movie.

Halle Berry calls out haters

Speaking to Vogue where she looked through her 12 most iconic looks from 1986 to the present, and she talked about her infamous Catwoman movie from 2004, where she played the anti-heroine, Selina Kyle. She said that people still do come up to her, telling her that they love the movie.

She also said that she doesn’t care about the haters and that she just loves seeing other women trying on the iconic costume and bringing out their inner Catwoman as she highlighted rapper Saweetie, who made a video in the Catwoman outfit featuring Berry on her Instagram.

Catwoman has achieved something of a cult movie status as the years go by, and Halle Berry pointed out that as a woman of color playing Catwoman in her own comic book movie, it was something that hadn’t been done before.

Cult movie status

Superhero movies can go one of two ways, they can turn out great like your Avengers, Captain Americas, Iron-Mans, and Spider-Mans; or they could go down the route that Catwoman went down.

Halle Berry has embraced the horrible reception that her Catwoman movie has received over the years, and even gamingly showed up to the Razzie Awards to accept her win for Worst Actress in the Catwoman movie.

But one thing that the haters can’t take away from Halle Berry’s Catwoman is the iconic costume that was ahead of its time and the fact that she was the first black woman to be playing the lead role of a mainstream superhero in a superhero movie, paving the way for other black actors like the late Chadwick Boseman (God bless his soul) who went on to portray King T’Challa in Black Panther.
