Speaking during an interview on the Inside of You With Michael Rosenbaum podcast, Jensen Ackles said that his experience of being on the Supernatural television show has given him a “horribly false sense of security around anything that could possibly be supernatural”. He said that instead of going “what was that?!” with his eyes wide open when something goes bump in the middle of the night, he channels his inner Dean Winchester and goes “you picked the wrong house motherf—–.”
Supernatural of course ran for 15 seasons and it chronicled the journeys of Sam and Dean Winchester‘s family business of hunting ghosts and monsters, as well as their adventures with angels, demons, and even God himself. The series ran for 15 years, with the first episode being aired on September 13, 2005, and the series finale airing on November 19, 2020.
Dean Winchester Jensen Ackles is also executive producing a spinoff series, The Winchesters, through his production company, Chaos Machines Productions and it is currently in development. The spinoff will be a prequel that focuses on Sam and Dean’s parents, John and Mary Winchester and the show is being described as the epic, untold love story of how they met and saved the entire world.
