Former WWE superstar turned Hollywood actor John Cena said that he is interested to return to the Fast and Furious Franchise. In the previous installments on Fast and Furious, Cena played as Jakob Toretto the brother of Vin Diesel.
Cena previously played as a “bad guy” in the show and viewers were stunned to know about Dom Toretto had another brother and is part of an international crime lord.
Though Jakob Toretto had previously only been mentioned as part of Dom’s family once or twice in the previous movies, he is mentioned as being ‘close’ to Dominic’s family. However, in the latest Fast and Furious film, Jakob finally appeared and it turned out to be John Cena.
At a press conference in New York City to discuss his new movie, Peacemaker, John Cena was taking questions from reporters and one asked him whether he would be reprising his role for the next installment of The Fast and the Furious. Dressed in the costume for his new TV show, Cena seemed enthusiastic about returning and said he’s just waiting to be asked. Check out what he had to say below:
Cena is probably using the opportunity, well another star in Fast and Furious has said that he will never return to the franchise, and fans who are big followers of the franchise would probably know that I’m talking about Dwyane Johnson.
It won’t be necessary to do a public campaign to get him back in the role. It’s time to think big picture with these Fast movies because they continue to reach new heights, and that makes sense given their upcoming inclusion of an even bigger cast and growing number of gigantic action set pieces. Cena is someone who is certainly capable of carrying on that legacy as a member of this blockbuster franchise.
