Keanu Reeves met up with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige about a potential role for him in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as what part he could play in it, during a meeting back in 2019.
Keanu Reeves met up with Marvel boss Kevin Feige
Speaking to comicbook.com, Keanu Reeves revealed that he met up with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige back in 2019 to discuss a role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, although the discussions from that meeting have yet to yield any discernible results.
Marvel boss Kevin Feige also revealed that he speaks to Keanu for almost every film that his studio makes, but highlighted that he doesn’t know when, if, or ever, he’ll be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Although nothing has been set in stone yet, it would certainly be interesting if Reeves were to join the MCU, and it wouldn’t be his first time portraying a superhero on the big screen – he most famously played the role of John Constantine in the 2005 movie Constantine.
The Matrix Resurrections
For now, Keanu Reeves‘ focus is solely on The Matrix Resurrections, as he reprises his role as Neo after 18 years alongside co-star Carrie-Anne Moss, who played Trinity in the movie – the movie is set to be released in the US on December 22.
And given how busy Keanu Reeves is at the moment, we really don’t know when or if he will be diving into the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even if the man himself has said that he is a fan of the MCU, praising the movies and people that work on them.
