Kim Kardashian robbed in Paris — Court officials are set to bring 12 people to trial in connection with the 2016 incident when robbers stole jewelry worth nearly $10 million from Kim Kardashian while she was being robbed at gunpoint.
The former reality TV star’s exact items that were taken have not been publicly released, but it is known that they included two of her most priceless pieces—her engagement ring from Kanye West and a diamond bracelet given to her by her grandmother MJ.
“All I know is there seems to be some sort of controversy about who was behind it,” said Pablo Veliz, a lawyer for one of the suspects involved.
Investigators have named two suspects, Aomar Ait Khedache and Ousseynou Sy.
The mastermind of the heist Aomar Ait Khedache wrote a letter to Kardashian and sought her forgiveness stating he realized his action has caused her traumatic experience.
Kim Kardashian robbed, £7.4m Paris jewellery taken
In the early hours of Oct. 3, 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at her hotel in Paris by a group of armed robbers who entered her room after threatening a concierge who ended up handcuffed and only gave them access to Kim’s room upon them saying they were police officers. They took off with millions of dollars worth of items including jewelry courtesy of Kim herself as she was in Paris for Paris Fashion Week
In her statement, Kardashian says that the robbers were dressed as police officers and made demands for jewelry and cash from her once they entered her room.
She told police that two men entered her room and were able to get into the bathroom where she was bathing.
She states in her statement to authorities (which we will not be releasing here for privacy and security reasons) that she was tied up and gagged, and subsequently placed in the bathtub in the bathroom.
SKIMS founder told police that two robbers pushed her onto the bed and emptied her purse. It was next to a jewelry box with $5 million of diamonds in it. She said, “I can barely breathe!” And they said, “Act like you’ve been here before!”, “Then they gagged me and taped my hands with gaffer tape to my sides And they threw me into this bathtub. They stole 2 million dollars worth of jewels with the name Saint engraved on them“.
