Speaking during an interview with Comicbook, the 62-year-old Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio said that he had his fair share of trolls after taking on the role of Kingpin several years ago. He said that he has a new way of dealing with them, by not dealing with them – he simply doesn’t engage with them.

I used to have trolls, I used to have trolls. I did.

But, what I did was, I just stopped… I put them in a box where they don’t exist and I ignored them for a long period of time. They’ve just kind of gone away.

Every once in a while, one will show up, and I just ignore it. Because I think that there’s too much going on in the world to perpetuate negative stuff.

I used to get combative, and it was hurting nobody but myself.

Vincent D’Onofrio

Daredevil ran on Netflix for three seasons from 2015 to 2018 and the show saw actor Charlie Cox starring in the lead role of Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil; a blind lawyer who fights crime in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen as a vigilante superhero. Vincent D’Onofrio’s character of Kingpin served as his principal antagonist and the show was very popular.

Given how the Daredevil franchise is a story that many fans hold close to their heart, it is almost certain that people are going to have opinions and views about it, and it is nice to see that Vincent D’Onofrio has found a way to deal with the internet trolls in a healthy manner.
