A new t-shirt recently unearthed for Doctor Strange 2 implies the presence of a team of multiversal Avengers. The sequel to 2016’s blockbuster Marvel film, Doctor Strange, will be helmed by Sam Raimi based on a screenplay written by Erik Pearson and Jon Spaihts. The film sees the return of Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, Clark Gregg as Coulsen, Rachel McAdams, Elizabeth Olsen, and Xochiti Gomez.

With audiences having seen the foundations of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse explored in places such as Loki and What If…?, is there room for madness? Doctor Strange 2: The Multiverse of Madness certainly aims to find out. A sequel to a hit movie, this second instalment will be helmed by Raimi – the deadly director who gained fame for horror films including The Evil Dead. He will have his hands full with a new storyline that sees Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Wong (Benedict Wong), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) and hero, America Chavez (Gabriella Gomez), racing against time through a mind-bending dimension filled with dissimilar realities to save the world from cataclysmic ruin. Facing Mordo (Tom Ejiofor) and an interdimensional version of himself, Stephen has already been teased to be facing a difficult environment full of fractured worlds, but can’t possibly imagine that it would feature some old friends…

The T-shirt was featured on Amazon with the following descriptions

“Experience Doctor Stephen Strange in a whole new mind-bending adventure with Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. This Avengers t-shirt showcases the Avengers logo for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes that might just be from a whole new multiverse.”

With reshoots finished on Raimi’s multiverse MCU adventure and rumors teasing cameos from both the MCU and Marvel’s cinematic history, fans speculate on who they could see in Doctor Strange 2 in the Multiverse of Madness. After What If..? showed what a multiverse team of heroes could be capable of, expectations are high on what Raimi can deliver on the big screen.
