Christopher Lloyd is a well-known American actor with a long career. His most well-known roles include drug-addicted taxicab driver Jim Ignatowski in Taxi (1978), Klingon Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984), inventor Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown in the Back to the Future trilogy (1985-1990).
Lloyd was born in Stamford, Connecticut on October 22, 1938. Samuel R. Lloyd, a lawyer, and Ruth Lapham, a singer, were his parents (1896-1984). Roger Lapham, Mayor of San Francisco, was his maternal uncle (1883-1966, term 1944-1948).
