His biggest commercial success came with the superhero flicks Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018), in which he starred as the titular character. The former shattered multiple records for an R-rated comedy at the time of its release, and his performance garnered him nominations for the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globe Awards.
