Simu Liu on Doctor Strange 2 rumors
Simu Liu posted an Instagram story where he reflected on the year that passed, calling it the most incredible year of his life. He then asked fans to “please stop asking me if I’ll be in Doctor Strange, I honestly do not know how much more clear I can be.”
Simu Liu has had to deny rumors of his involvement in the Doctor Strange sequel numerous times, refuting claims that he will be making an appearance on Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, which includes a star-studded ensemble cast with Rachel McAdams reprising her role as Christine Palmer, Elizabeth Olsen returning as Scarlet Mitch and new additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, America Chavez who will be played by Xochitl Gomez; and of course, Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange.
And although Simu Liu’s plea for fans to stop asking him about his rumored involvement in the upcoming project, it is highly unlikely that the rumor mill will stop spinning and fans will most probably continue their intensive discussions.
However, one only needs to take a look at the recent Spider-Man: No Way Home movie to realize that just because an actor denies involvement in a movie, doesn’t mean he’s telling the truth. Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire most famously spent months and months denying their involvement in the Spider-Man project, only to take to the screen to fight alongside Tom Holland‘s Peter Parker.
Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness opens in cinemas on May 6, 2022.
