Spider-Man actor Tom Holland cried watching the new trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie.

Holland was present at a movie trailer launch event in Los Angeles screening the latest trailer for the upcoming Spider-Man movie, and he got a little emotional and misty-eyed after watching it.

Tom Holland cried

Speaking to the fans, Tom Holland revealed that he cried when watching the trailer, as he reflected on his time as the Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, a role while he has played since he was 18-years-old.

He added that the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie is the movest cinematic and theatrical superhero movie ever made, and that seeing the enthusiasm of the fans meant the world to him.

He then thanked the fans in the audience for their dedication.

Playing Spider-Man improved his self-confidence

Holland revealed in an interview with Total Film that playing Spider-Man helped him to build up his self-confidence and learn how to stand up for himself; as well as revel in the joy of fame and finding confidence.

He said that he sees the new movie as the conclusion to Peter Parker’s story that began in Homecoming, and revealed that the entire cast treated the new movie as the curtain call of the franchise.

His portrayal of Spidey has definitely been life-changing, with new doors being opened for him – He is set to play the role of Nathan Drake in the upcoming movie adaptation of the Uncharted video games.

And it appears clad in stone that Tom Holland’s tenure as Spider-Man has come to an end, with the actor himself saying that he is ready to pass on the mantle to someone else.

Peter Parker’s greatest challenge

Spider-Man: No Way Home will see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man take on the greatest challenge of his crime-fighting career, with new foes emerging to derail everything he’s fought for; there is also the small matter of his identity being revealed to the world and him being framed for the murder of Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio.

Peter Parker seeks the help of Benedict Cumberbatch’s Dr Strange to erase the world’s memory of him but the spell then went wrong, bringing force villains from other multiverses into his world.

But will we see the other Spider-Men from the other multiverses as well? I guess we can only find out when the movie is released.
