X Factor’s Thomas Wells, who took part in the singing competition back in 2011, passed away at the age of 46 in a freak accident that happened at a tire manufacturing plant in Oklahoma, as his wife Jessica Wells shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook.

X Factor’s Thomas Wells dead at 46

According to TMZ, who spoke to Jessica after his passing, he had gotten into an accident at an Oklahoma tire manufacturing plant where he worked at and a part of his body then got caught in a conveyer belt, the stricken Wells was then immediately conveyed to a hospital nearby before being airlifted to another hospital in Texas.

Jessica said in her Facebook video while visiting Thomas’ grave, that he was deteriorating really fast and his body and organs were shutting down because of the lack of oxygen in his brain, he was deteriorating really fast.

She added that everything was just not working right and there was a kind of smell coming from his stomach, it wasn’t overwhelming but she could tell something was happening and his blood pressure was falling very quickly.

She sat by his bedside while praying to God for a miracle but he sadly passed, with Jessica calling it both the worst and best day of her life; worst because she had lost her husband and best because God told her that he was home and that he is up there waiting for her.

Competed in X Factor

Thomas Wells competed in the 2011 season of X Factor and appeared on The Winner Is in 2013, his obituary reads: Thomas had an amazing voice and loved singing hymns as well as contemporary music. He loved to make people laugh. He always had a smile and loved to joke and give people a hard time. He was a great entertainer and always became the center of attention.” 

He married his wife Jessica in 2004 and they have been married for 17 years.
